Specifying Fonts and Other Accessibility Options

SyncToy respects most system settings for fonts and for accessibility options.

The Windows XP control panel allows you to increase the system font size by using the "Display" applet.

To increase your font size:

  1. Select start
  2. Select Control Panel on the right side of the popup.
  3. Select Appearance and Themes .
  4. Select Display near the bottom of the screen.
  5. Select the Appearance tab.
  6. Use the font size control to select a large or extra large font size. The font size will increase for all applications.

You can set a variety of accessibility options by using the Accessibility control panel applet.

To select a high contrast display:

  1. Select start
  2. Select Control Panel on the right side of the popup.
  3. Select Accessibility Options .
  4. Select Adjust the contrast for text and colors on your screen .
  5. Check the High Contrast checkbox and optionally select the Advanced button to choose from a number of high-contrast themes. Some of these themes also allow you to select larger fonts. As a rule, SyncToy will rearrange its display properly for large fonts but not always for extra large fonts.

To select other accessibility options:

  1. Select start
  2. Select Control Panel on the right side of the popup.
  3. Select Accessibility Options.
  4. Make selections from a wide array of accessibility options as appropriate.
